Dropshipping to Indonesia: Ship Stock In with Duties Paid
You sell online to Indonesian customers, or supply Indonesian resellers, and your goods come from factories or suppliers in China, Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan or the USA. Sending every order as a separate cross-border parcel gets expensive, and import duty, taxes and customs holds are hard to predict. A more reliable model: your supplier drops off stock at an IDX Drop Point warehouse abroad, we consolidate it and ship it to Indonesia under IDX Import Drop Point Consol DDP, with import duty and taxes paid, delivered to one address in Jakarta.
Honest scope: we deliver to one consignee address per booking (your reseller, store, or a fulfilment warehouse of your choice). We do not deliver individual parcels to many end customers. This service is for bringing stock into Indonesia; domestic order fulfilment is done from there. Outside Jakarta: forwarded to a warehouse or port in the destination city, door delivery confirmed by our operations team.
Web-store and marketplace sellers who want stock landed in Indonesia, duties paid, so local orders can ship fast with domestic couriers.
Brands supplying Indonesian resellers
Private-label or small brands sourcing from factories in China and Asia who need a predictable landed cost per kg or CBM.
Sellers with several suppliers
Goods from different factories go to the same Drop Point with one marking code and are consolidated into one shipment.
Sellers without an Indonesian entity
For general cargo, import formalities and customs clearance are handled by us and duties and taxes are inside the DDP price.
How It Works
Check the rate in the app: choose IDX Import Drop Point Consol DDP and the origin warehouse, enter weight or volume and the goods.
Book; our team checks that the goods are eligible for the Drop Point.
Receive the warehouse address and marking code once the booking is confirmed.
Your supplier drops off the goods with the marking code on every carton, plus a commercial invoice and packing list. Step-by-step guide: drop-off warehouses for shipping to Indonesia.
We receive and consolidate: goods are weighed, measured and photographed; warehouse handling and origin export documents are included.
Freight and Indonesian customs: import duty and taxes are paid within the DDP price; status shows on the tracking timeline in the app.
Delivery to the consignee address in Jakarta, or to a warehouse or port in another destination city. The final invoice follows actual weight or volume.
What the Drop Point DDP Price Covers
Handling at the Drop Point warehouse, including storage of up to 3 working days.
Export documents in the origin country.
Air or sea freight to Indonesia.
Customs clearance, import duty and taxes (DDP).
Delivery in Jakarta; other cities to a warehouse or port in the destination city.
Not included: the cost of getting goods to the Drop Point warehouse (or pickup from your supplier as an Add-on where available in the origin city), storage beyond 3 working days, special repacking, special export licences, and VAT on our service fee as invoiced. The binding scope is on the "Cost Coverage" card in the IDX app.
Products: Check Before You List Them
The Drop Point is for general cargo (GENCO) that is not restricted. Selling regulated products in Indonesia, such as cosmetics, food and supplements, products under mandatory SNI or telecom devices, needs Indonesian registrations whichever way the goods travel. A restricted-goods variant exists only from Singapore and Johor (sea LCL), assessed per shipment. Send us the product list and HS codes before you commit to stock; see import licence guide for foreign companies.
Documents
Commercial invoice at the real transaction value, with a clear description of each item.
Packing list with the number of cartons, weight and dimensions.
Photos of the goods.
Consignee details in Indonesia: name, full address and phone number.
Can you deliver each customer order individually in Indonesia?
No. We deliver to one consignee address per booking, such as your reseller, your store, or a fulfilment warehouse you choose in Indonesia. The service is built for moving stock into Indonesia with duties and taxes paid; individual orders then go out from that stock with domestic couriers.
Do I need an Indonesian company or import licence?
For general (non-restricted) cargo shipped through the Drop Point under IDX Import Drop Point Consol DDP, we handle the import formalities and customs clearance, and import duty and taxes are included in the price. Products that need Indonesian registration or permits are a different matter; see the next question.
Which products can go through the Drop Point?
General cargo (GENCO) that is not restricted. Restricted goods such as cosmetics, food, supplements, medicines, products under mandatory SNI and telecom devices need Indonesian permits; a restricted-goods variant is available only from Singapore and Johor by sea LCL and is assessed per shipment. Powders, liquids, batteries, dangerous goods and counterfeit items are not accepted.
Where are your drop-off warehouses?
China (Guangzhou and Foshan), Singapore, Johor (Malaysia), Bangkok (Thailand), Hong Kong, Taiwan, Seoul (South Korea) and California (USA). Air or sea options and minimums per warehouse are shown in our app.
How much does it cost?
Current rates per kg (air) or per CBM (sea) are shown in the IDX app, where you can calculate an estimate from weight and volume. We do not print rates on this page so that you always see the rate in force. The final invoice follows the actual weight or volume received at the warehouse.
Do you buy goods from suppliers or pay them for me?
No. You or your supplier arrange the purchase and payment. We receive the goods at our Drop Point warehouse, consolidate, ship, clear customs, pay import duty and taxes, and deliver.
How long does it take?
Estimated transit times per warehouse and mode are shown in the app. They are estimates, not fixed dates: customs clearance time depends on the documents and the inspection channel assigned by Indonesian Customs.
Do you deliver outside Jakarta?
In Jakarta we deliver to the consignee address. For other cities, goods are forwarded to a warehouse or port in the destination city, and door delivery is confirmed by our operations team.
